Angela is the founder, sole and lead Advanced Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork Therapist at A Sanctuary Wellness Center, bringing over three decades of clinical massage and bodywork, and instructing experience to the Duval and Clay county areas. Since 1996, her hands-on, medical-focused approach has provided unparalleled relief and rehabilitation for thousands of clients. 

Professional Biography 

Clinical Expertise & Experience
Angela’s career spans over 3 decades of advanced therapeutic massage and bodywork. She became a Licensed Massage Therapist in July 1996 following a specialized internship with the University of Miami, where she provided direct massage and bodywork for their athletes wellness and care.  She was invited to volunteer at Dr. Tiffany Fields’ prestigious Touch Research Institute, where she refined her clinical skills in elite wellness. Her experience expands to destinations in Miami that include the Doral Golf Resort & Spa, the Biltmore Spa, and Hyatt Regency Pier 66, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  Her experience extends to being an independent contractor on Naval Air Station Jacksonville (NAS JAX), and Fort Gordon, Augusta, GA.  Additionally, she has collaborated directly with multiple surgical services to include Neurological, Orthopedic, and Plastic Surgeons. She is vastly experienced with clients in or in need of, EMDR trauma therapy, licensed clinical therapy, licensed mental health counseling and in post-operative care and rehabilitation. 

Instruction & Leadership
Angela is a dedicated educator who began instructing massage therapy students at the Heritage Institute in Jacksonville in 2004. She further advanced her teaching career at Florida Metropolitan University, overseeing curriculum, testing, development of program content, and administration. Her exceptional student success rates earned her a promotion to Massage Therapy Department Coordinator.
